Happy birthday, Luna!
We always encounter interesting things on our walks outside that lead to curiosity and questions…
The making table is always full of things to draw, cut, design and make… It’s also an opportunity to create alongside friends, sharing ideas and strategies, and lending or receiving help as needed.
We had a multimedia + immersive morning in the atelier, travelling to Africa
We have seen rainbows, and have been talking a lot about the weather. We loved this story, where a chameleon changed into all of the colours of the rainbow:
We’ve painted and practiced turning our pictures into stories.
In the atelier, we made really BIG colour panels. Images of Mark Rothko’s paintings were projected in the space, and we played with the mirrors, watching how they made the pictures move around the room. The children have demonstrated a big interest in mixing colours, and also using the rollers for the paint. While painting, they discuss their techniques, and are also able to observe and be inspired by their friends.
Here are other special moments, and some glimpses of what our mornings and days have been like!
